Mother Hiker Soap is simple and handmade in small batches. Natural bar soap that lathers well and doesn’t turn into a pile of muck after multiple uses. All bars have the same ingredients. Essential oils vary with the scent of each bar. Fragrance oil is never used in our soap.
Our journey towards making soap started in 2013 when we came across our first issue of Mother Earth Living. Around that same time, we noticed that we consistently had headaches after cleaning the bathroom. We developed a passion for educating ourselves about the ingredients in our personal care and cleaning products.
After learning that the products we used for years had ingredients that were harmful to our bodies, we started replacing commercial cleaning products for DIY natural cleaning solutions. And so, it became a hobby, passion, and side business.
We started making soap in 2016. Our soap recipe has evolved just as our knowledge has. We completely altered our recipe after learning that Palm Oil is not a sustainable resource. A little effort, a few tweaks and we landed on a better, safer, more sustainable soap bar.

We have purchased quite a few of the Mother Hiker products and love all of them. The lotion is the only thing that tames my dry skin, and with the natural ingredients you cannot go wrong. The scents are present but subtle, not like the highly perfumed mass produced products at the stores, and the moisturized feeling lasts all day. I highly recommend.
